Munstead (Lavandula Angustifolia) – Another variety of lavender commonly known as English Lavender, Munstead produces some of the shorter stems like the Hidcote variety. Munstead is filled with lighter blue-purple flowers that provide a strong scent making them perfect for decoration, sachets, soaps, bouquets, or culinary use.
Beautiful, deep purple Hidcote lavender. Freshly cut from our own field in Maryland. Hidcote (Lavandula Angustifolia/Officinalis) – Known as English Lavender, Hidcote is the most recognized of the lavender plants. This Mediterranean variety produces short stems full of lovely deep purple-blue flowers with a distinctive scent that is makes it perfect for floral arrangements, bridal bouquets, boutonnieres, and more. Keep the buds and they fall and used them for baking, teas, and sachets. This is the sweetest and best tasting lavender for cupcakes, cakes, and sweet syrups.
Grosso (Lavandula X Intermedia ‘Grosso’) – This hybrid of the classic French lavender produces lighter blue flowers with a pleasant aroma on a medium-to-long sized stem that is perfect for sachets, floral arrangements, or culinary use. Due to its rich oil content, the Grosso variety is most often used to make essential oils.
Phenomenal (Lavandula Intermedia) – This hybrid French lavender variety was bred to be the heartiest and most adaptable. Its taller purple stems make dramatic centerpiece arrangements and are wonderful for making wreaths, and its high levels of essential oil that make it a perfect choice for sachets, potpourri, decorative crafts, floral arrangements, or bridal bouquets.
